Racold Aures 5.5 Kw Horizontal Instantaneous Water Heater (Geyser), White

This is a blessing.

Connected it directly to the shower for instant Hot water.
No need for a cold water mixer. Just control your temperature (off / 2.2Kw / 3.3Kw/ 5.5Kw)

I live in Pune and currently, in Monsoon season, the ambient temperature Ranges from 20-30 Celcius.
Even in this temperature, I Can’t go beyond 3.3Kw at nights or Early Morning as it becomes too hot.
In the afternoon I either switch off the power or user 2.2Kw.
Based on this, I bet the 5.5Kw will be sufficient in winters where the low temperatures are in the range of 12-15 Celcius. I Will update the review once I use it in the cold winter nights.

Pros:
1) Super Compact
2) Instant Hot Water all the time. Just 3-4 seconds of wait time to get hot water. Once it starts, you can shower for 30-40 mins straight (I bet you can go on for HRs 😉
3) 3 temperature modes that are perfect for various weather conditions.
4) Easy to install by yourself if you know the basics of electrical engineering n Plumbing (Make sure that the prerequisites from the product are met)

Cons:
1) Nothing as such so far.

Notes:
1) Just need to make sure you have a proper & Safe electric supply as 5.5Kw is a big load. The single-phase power supply can usually work well with 7.7Kw total load on the home.
2) Avoid using other power heavy equipment when using this.
3) If you don’t know how to confirm if your power supply/wiring is suitable or not, call an electrician and check before buying this.

First of all after reading all reviews, I was confused whether should I buy this product or not.
I was happy, this product is working well as per expectation, also it’s very compact.
To work properly it needed high flow water supply. This product is suitable for Mumbai like location. If you live in colder cities buy other varient of this product.

Note: If you want use hot water through shower keep it on 2nd setting, if you want to use in bucket keep it on 3rd setting.

The product may be good… However what good is a product when it cannot be installed timely and properly and the buyer is harrassed by the installation technician.

1. The instructions from Amazon clearly stated that 2 pipes of 45cm will be provided by the installing technician free of cost. The technician charged me cash money for it, without giving an invoice for the same. He refused to do the installation till I agreed to pay the money.

2. The pipes that he provided did not get attached properly. We had to use the pipes attached to my old geyser on this one. The technician was incompetent and could not attach. My son, a school student, had to thread and attach them. Yet the technician charged us the money, as he had already broken the seal on the packaging of the ones that he brought. He refused to leave my premises till we paid the amount.

3. The Amazon instructions clearly state that the technician will get in touch within 24 hours of delivery of the product, however, we were contacted 3 days after the delivery and the technician came the next day after that.

4. The unprofessional technician, standing on the ladder, threw around the screwdriver, spanner and what not, on the floor from a height, damaging my washroom tiles. And each time he needed to reuse a tool that he thrown on the floor, he shouted out to my son or household staff to pass it to him, while he stood on the ladder, 2 ft above the ground.

5. Any geyser normally takes 30-45 mins to be installed – attach the water input, water output & power input. However, due to the incompetency of this technician, it took nearly 2.5 hours for this very simple geyser to be attached.

All in all, a very horrible installation experience.

Buy the geyser, coz it works well and fits within a compact space. But DO NOT rely on the company installation. Arrange your own installation.
