Just got off the phone with Philips authorized service center in Gurgaon that the motor has burned out and that a spare is no longer available from the company. I have to buy a new device.
The various locks on the machine had started failing more than three years earlier and using it for daily operation required some fiddling.
I’m not happy with this ownership experience and feel let down by the spares situation at Philips. Not sure if I would trust them even with a light bulb in future.

Earlier there were lots of negative reviews. Initially was apprehensive when buying it, but there have not been any issues till now and it has got a good variety of accessories for all types of kitchen work, though they are less from the competition. All said, good buy 👍
Update Mar 2023
This update is not about the product but about Philips service. Product started giving trouble 4 months back (Nov23). The technician came on-call basis & changed the motor, costing around 3k. He assured that there was guarantee on the motor for atleast a few months. We took his word. But the motor got burnt in couple of months (Jan23). When we asked to replace the motor, he said that this motor is no longer available (how come he was giving guarantee?). Then he said you can replace current product with new product through some PG policy which would again cost 3k (how come he did not mention this in the first place??). He took around 1 month to finally deliver back the non-working product. This attitude from Philips is very unprofessional & not expected from such known brand. So, 0 star for Philips service.

I got this Philips food processor after a lot of research. Just like other reviewers, I too did not get a sealed box. There were some scratches and all parts did not look brand new to me. However, nothing was broken and I had got the unit for only 5700/- (after cash backs and Diwali discounts). So kept it, because of the price. Used it for 2 months for various things and here is my review.
+ First off, the food processor works very well for atta kneading. I’m impressed and feel the machine is worth it for just this feature.
+ It chops, grates and slices vegetables well. But if you need to chop a small quantity every day then it’s not worth the hassle of washing the food processing bowl and blades. For preparing large quantities, it’ll save time and energy.
+ Right size chutney jar
+ Extremely light weight and compact
– The juicing unit is awful. It has so many parts and they are not easy to clean. It’s better to eat the fruits than to spend time & energy to clean the juicing unit!
– I didn’t like the grinder jar to make idli/dosa batter. It’s too tall and narrow, so the urad dal / rice remains at the bottom and doesn’t mix too well. And if you keep it running for long, the batter gets warm which you need to avoid. I was able to make the batter, but I prefer the grinder jar of my old Sumeet mixie.
– I didn’t like the blender jar either – it has scratches and is too big to make 1-2 glasses of milkshakes. It’s ok for 3-5 glasses, but we don’t entertain guests everyday.
So I give this machine 4 stars for the food processor. Though I wish I had bought just the food processor and not this model with the mixer grinder. But I would not pay 7200/- for it. Instead it’s better to get the Philips food processor for 4200/- to knead atta and a regular mixer grinder for 2K.

the product is nice, it gets the work done. if the price is not an issue then it is a good product.
pros:
1. Built quality is nice.
2. It sticks to the base so it does not move while you operate.
3. compact size, so it is easy to store.
4. assembly and cleaning is not messy
Cons:
1. EXPENSIVE AF

I have purchased Philips Food processor thrice in the past for gifting and for self…
This time i wanted to similar model but somehow that wasn’t available hence took this model.
Found that this piece is defective.. The blades are leaving the plastic….and it’s getting mixed with The wheat Flour… Suddenly the blade stops rotating and I have to do it by hand..
The date of replacement have passed and will not get replacement either.

Very happy with the product. The main advantage is that it’s a mixer grinder and food processor combined….no need for two separate appliances.
I bought this product mainly to make nut butters. This food processor has a very powerful motor and i was able to make creamy peanut butter, without the machine heating up.
The chutney jar and other attachments are good and leak proof too.
Very satisfied….
Go for it!!
Review updated on 4/4/17:
Yesterday, i used this the third time to make nut butter (this time almond butter). In between i had been using to make tomato puree, chopping vegetables etc. and i had no problem…. UNTIL YESTERDAY
When the butter was done and i opened the lid of the large food processor jar, the handle just came off. The lower part of the plastic handle
had crumbled and given way. The handle is integrated with the functioning of the motor. Inside there is some sort of spring mechanism, which controls operation of the motor. I was able to reassemble the handle, but it can definitely come off again. It is delicate, and since the bottom of the handle has been lost, it dislodges on the slightest pressure, so i have to be extremely careful while washing it. And if the little spring inside the handle gets misplaced, its over! you won’t be able to operate it at all, and will just have to get the jar replaced
This isn’t expected of a company like Philips… I suggest you redesign that jar
Guess i have to edit my rating to a 3 stars…😒
