I thought for a 2- member family, the smaller the better. So I bought 2 or 3 litre models only. I faced constant spillage of boiling, slimy water from the spout while cooking dal or rice. But this size of 4l turned out to be optimum. You can use separate containers inside the cooker and even a mini idli steamer. Also, you will not face water gushing out of the spout. Even if you’re cooking for just 2 people, this 4l cooker is much better. Additionally, unlike the smaller models, there are two handles, so it is convenient to carry with bare hands even when it is hot.

Very nice and wide cooker. It is squat in shape and thus one can make good quantities of rice/biryani/pulao. The separator set (two containers that go inside the cooker) are quite nice too
