I love the dark exterior and stainless interior. It will look new for years to come. It may discolor a bit inside but that’s normal. It retains heat so second helpings are still hot. Love the silicone handles. No need for pot holders. Good size for pasta. Heavy but not too heavy.

just bought a new set of cookware, and the one piece that was sadly missing was a nice sized stockpot. With the holidays coming, I decided to look for one. After searching a bit, I decided on the Meyer Accent series 6.5 quart stock pot.
I made my selection for a couple of reasons. Firstly I liked the fact that this pot is made of stainless steel. Stainless, in my opinion, is the best kind of cookware you can get. It has the most durable cooking surface unlike any of the non-sticks. It will last forever and always look good.
Secondly, I was intrigued by the fact that Meyer claimed this pot to be ‘boil over free’. The curved shape of the sides supposedly prevents boil overs from happening. And honestly, that is actually the case. I used this stock pot to boil my potatoes on Thanksgiving, and I had no problem with the water boiling over. That’s a definite plus when you have pots on every burner of the range.
And third,I liked the fact that this stock pot was induction compatible. In the summer, I sometimes like to boil corn on the cob out on the deck using my portable induction cooktop. This pot will be perfect for that.
This stock pot is heavy enough so it won’t go sliding off the burner when you stir something in it but no too heavy to carry from the stove to the table or the sink. It’s balanced and heats very evenly. You can definitely tell the quality when you cook in it.
The only thing I wish my Meyer stock pot included was a lid. I know the item description tell you to get one of Meyer’s ‘universal lids’ to fit it, but for the price there should be one included that is actually made for the pot.
In summary, I really like my new Meyer 6.5 quart stock pot. It’s a quality piece of cookware that lives up to its ‘no boil over” claim. I look forward to getting a lot of use out of it.

This 6.5 quart stockpot from Meyer is stainless steel and has an aluminum core base. It can be put in the oven up to 445°F but all of my stockpot cooking is typically stovetop.
This pot is induction friendly but works just as well on a gas range or electric / smooth cooktop.
This pot heats quickly (about average for this type) and is good for larger tasks.
I’m happy with the quality of the pot and do wish it came with a lid. The handles seem solid.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a larger stockpot.

Like most households we have an assorted collection of stock pots. The Meyer Accent series 6.5 quart pot is our newest and by far the best/most innovative pot we have.
This design is totally different from any of our other pots. The sides of the pot are slightly tapered, which helps to prevent the contents from boiling over. The rounded top allows you to easily pour the contents of the pot without spilling.
You can pair the 6.5 quart with the medium lid. The medium lid will fit multiple size pots.
There are two stay cool handles which makes handling the pot easy and safe.
The base of the pot is a thick aluminum-core which heats quickly and distributes the heat evenly.
The finish is matte black, it always looks clean. The pot is easy to clean,
A great addition to our collection.

This is close to the perfect item for the price. I’m a serious foodie so when I pick an item for a particular item of work in my cooking, I mean it. I see no down sizes in this stockpot, only good. In the week since I got it for review, I have used it twice, both times flawlessly. The biggest difference over earlier versions is the improvement in the no scratch coating. Its last longer, doesn’t abrade, and thus doesn’t affect the chemistry or taste of the final dish.
