I needed a saucepan bigger than my two quart Cusinart (and of better quality) and smaller than the eight quart stockpot that’s too big for most uses. I wanted a three-layer laminated pan, I didn’t want to spend $20, but I didn’t want something from a maker who promised a warranty but would disappear in a few months. This Tramontina checked all the boxes. Their cookware is made in Brazil- a country not currently making warlike moves on anyone- and they’re a company that has been around for many years. Quality, appearance, and heat distribution are good.

I haven’t used this yet, but I can tell I will love it. It has a good weight to it, a nice looking shiny stainless steel finish, and it fits perfectly into my Cuisinart eight quart stock pot. Would definitely recommend.

Our main motivation for stainless steel cookware was to stop using anything with teflon or any other toxic synthetic substances. Many quality reviews led me to Tramontina, and so far we are VERY pleased with our purchase. This set is great – works for everything we’ve thrown at it. Heats up very quickly and evenly, cooks great, and are very easy to clean. They have some discoloration, losing their shine inside the cook area, but it hasn’t affected any of the quality and is pretty expected over time.
Excellent product for the price – highly recommend.
