Well-made cast-iron skillet I’ve only used it the once, it’s a perfect size for one person, I bought it to travel around Australia in my caravan, I did cook eggs in it and they did stick so it’s not a nonstick cast-iron skillet, but maybe it’s my fault for not having seasoned it properly.

Received it today, same day delivery! It is small but exactly what I wanted. I intend to bake bread with it but didn’t want to go for the exclusively baker’s version because I also want to use it on the gas stove (the baker’s skillet says not to use on gas stove). This is perfect for eggs, roasting 2-people-worth food 😀 excited to use it!

Diese Pfanne ist perfekt zum braten von z.B. Spiegeleiern . Nichts bleibt haften. Man muss nur daran denken, dass die Griffe sehr heiss werden. Außerdem ist die Pfanne relativ schwer, was bei dieser Größe nicht schlimm ist.

This made me a fan of Lodge cast iron pans. Steaks and other meat come out perfectly (skills required 😅), and it brings the extra flavour a foodie is looking for. I do not enjoy steaks in restaurants anymore… Perfect size for a single person, but I will be purchasing a bigger size at some point for entertaining guests.
Follow the cleaning regime and it will outlive you. Just make sure you know how to cook with cast iron as the additional skills / effort is worth understanding first… Do not let that intimidate you though as I am in no way a confident chef, but I understood what I was committing to prior to purchasing. Cast iron is not for everyone though.

The depth of the pan makes this the perfect size for a one person bacon and eggs breakfast, or a quick burger, or sautéing vegetables – the ideas are endless. The smaller size also means a lighter weight, which is easier on my hands to pick up, and handle. Another great quality product from Lodge

It’s a small heavy omelette kadai.. looked very cute but I returned it because it came with bubble wrapping without company packing and description manual though it was large scripted at the back of kadai..I was confused, why such a big brand product is coming in bubble wrap..

４人家族用のパン焼いたり、アヒージョ作ったりと、丁度良いサイズです。
取っ手はロッジ特有の角ばったゴツイ物では無く、品の良い細めです。
厚みはロッジの標準的な5㎜厚より薄いので熱持ちは落ちます。
因みに鉄製品は何買っても重いのでLodgeが特段重い訳では無く、
Lodge、LeCrueset、Staub、南部鉄、全て持っていますし、どれも重いです。
使用する際のワンポイント：
鉄製の調理器具全般に言えますが、絶対にコンロの中火以上で使わない事。
強火は食材の焦付きの原因と鉄鍋の寿命を短くします。
使用する際はちゃんと食用油をひいて使いましょう。
熱が入るのが遅いので中火で1分少々温めてから調理を始め下さい。
メンテナンス：
水につけ置きは錆びる原因ですなので避けましょう。
洗う際、洗剤を一滴も使わず、ササラを使うだけで綺麗に汚れだけが落ちます。
（ササラは中華鍋を洗う時に使う竹製のブラシの様な物です）
意外と洗剤使わなくても食材のニオイはとれます。
洗った後は、キッチンペーパー等で水気を拭き取り、最後に薄く食用油を塗ります。
錆び防止に私は全面に油を塗っています。
この一手間、二手間するだけで錆びないし、テフロン加工のフライパンと大差無いぐらい物がくっつかないです。
