Bajaj PX 97 Torque New 36L Personal Air Cooler
This is my first ever air cooler purchase. I have purchased this for my weekend home so investing 35000 rupees on an air conditioner didn’t make sense. I bought this Bajaj air cooler after a lot of online research and watched many YouTube videos and read many user reviews on many e-commerce websites.
I can now say after using this cooler that it’s the best you can get in this budget.
1- the air throw is very good
2- mine is the new 2022 model in this variant, the build quality in this particular one is very good. The speed and pump/swing knobs are of good quality
3- water level can be measured easily and the drain plug provided is useful
4- the castor wheels are very smooth and easy to move around with full water tank
5- the sound on top speed is not much, my window AC is my other house makes more sound than this. When the pump is on trickling of water can be heard
6- honeycomb pads in the three sides are thick and it is easy to unscrew the three grills for cleaning purposes as the company has provided thumb screws
7- the cooling is very good. Cools my 10×15 room in the afternoon very well when the outside temperature is 42 degrees
8- there is smell when you turn it on the first time. The smell is because of the plastic and the fan motor inside. My recommendation is to keep the cooler running for 30-40 mins when you first turn it on. The smell will eventually go away and keep the cooler in a ventilated area for the first time when you switch on
Overall I am happy and satisfied with my purchase and recommend other too if they plan to buy a budget friendly yet powerful air cooler.

Awesome product with decent cooling if cross ventilation is provided.

Cons some minor cons such as no ice chamber and average quality internal pipes n small water inlet chamber.
Overall loved the product it’s best for small rooms with 2-3 PPL and 35-39°c and low humidity. I previously had a dessert cooler which had poor fit and finish also used to make very loud noise and due to which I could not sleep. This on other hand is less noise and decent cooling the back panel screws were too tight i loosed then from inside now it’s easy to open and add water from the rear window. I tried a small hack where I froze3-4 1ltr bottles in fridge and put them in the cooler for more cool air. This works only til the ice melts. Highly recommend this for a small room with good cross ventilation. If needed add an exhaust fan to avoid humidity. Cheers

Pros:
The cooler is very compact and takes very little space.
The weight is very little and comes with castor wheels that make it really portable.
Cons:
Cooling area is very limited. About 10 x 12 ft room size.
Cooling effect is terrible especially if you live in zone where temperature rises above 34C. It will just make your room hot, extremely humid and suffocated.
If you’re placing the cooler on the floor you need to have a fan running at low speed otherwise you’ll have a cloud of hot moisture hanging in the room which will cause suffocation.
The water inlet cubby is really small as the other customers have mentioned. You will need a pipe to pour water into the cooler without spillage.
Problems experienced:
The pump stopped working after only 3 days of usage. When I opened the unit I found that the pump is made out of very cheap quality plastic. Just trying to handle it caused parts to chip off in several places like breadcrumbs. It’s ridiculously brittle plastic. The entire cooler is made of this cheap and brittle plastic including the inner parts. That’s why the pump’s rubber came off and it stopped working. There was also a bad plastic smell initially in the first 2 days because of this cheap quality plastic parts problem. We finally managed to fix the issue because we had an aquarium pump at hand. However I’m not sure if the other parts will eventually break off.
Overall I would suggest any prospective buyers to go for a better quality product.
