Food tastes good when cooked in earthen pots like this. Even the nutritional value is also preserved while cooking in utensils like this.
The only difference between the RED earthen pot and the BLACK earthen pot is that each of them gives a different aroma or taste to the food cooked in them. The Black one adds tandoori or coaly flavor while the red one adds a kind of sweet and pleasant flavor to it. The RED one gives aroma of wet mud in the rainy season. The Black one are more durable than the Red ones.

Not bad. There was a small hole on one side which appears a through hole once and later closed using clay. No leaking however. But this could have been done more professionally so that it is not noticeable. Cost is very high when compared to available items in market.

received the product on Thursday and second cook on Sunday and there the pot bursts like a cracker after keeping on the gas with splatters of oil, jeera, green chillies all over the kitchen including ceiling… Not sure if this one was made for Single use, as the first use was all fine…

We loved this pot very much, we tried 2 Andhra Style curries. Eating in pot is next level.
One recipe I would like to share today.
Pumpkin Curry – Andhra Style.
Ingredients :
Pumpin pieces(1/2 Kg), One Chopped Onion medium size, 2 Green chllies, 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp, Mustard 1/2 tsp, 2 Dry chillies, 1/2 tsp Urad dal, 1/2tsp Chana dal, 1tsp Jaggery, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, Salt, 5-6 Garlic cloves, Hing and 10-15 Curry leves.
Procedure:
1. Drop 2-3 tsp of oil in dry pot and put Mustard, Cumin seeds, Urad dal, Chopped onion, Green chillies, Dry chilies, Chana dal, Garlic cloves, Curry leaves.
2. Switch on stove put in sim for 5 mins.
3. Put hing and drop pumpkin pieces.
4. Drop 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and add 1 or 2 tsp of salt based on your taste.
5. Cook for 10 mins in sim.
6. Add chilli powder and stir it.
7. Add a half glass of water and cook for 5 mins.
8. Add jaggery(1tsp) and salt based on your taste.
9. Cook for 5 mins and Smith off the stove.
10. Let the pot be on stove for 5-10 Min, it will cook after switching off your stove.
Yummy juicy pumpkin curry is ready for serving.

When I made curry for the first time after purchasing the product, the curry bubbled.
Is there some kind of chemical coating on it?
There was also something slimy when I washed it before using it.
I have not been able to use it since then.
If anyone knows how to remove this coating, could someone please let me know?
