Works great as a tank disinfectant. Put one tablet for 1000 liter tank.

There is very faint chlorine smell coming from tablets when I opened the box. I was little doubtful, but I decided to use. I put 3 tablets in my 3000ltrs tank in the night. In the morning I used the water from tank, but there was no difference in smell of water. The bad odour for which I wanted to use this tablet, was still coming from water. Next night I put 3 more tablets, but same results in the morning. I thought to test it in 20 ltrs of water in a bucket. After half an hour, though the tablet was almost dispersed and only some powder was lying at bottom of bucket, but there was no change in appearance and smell of water. It was little dirty and smelly earlier and it remained same even after putting 1 tablet in hardly 20ltrs of water. This looks like a scam to me as they claim that 1 tablet is for 1000ltrs. I don’t recommend buying this one.

Each chlorine tablet is described to disinfect 1000l of water. In my use I’m.unable to testify it’s efficiency as no microbial test is done with the water after disinfection. My doubt is about the odour…. In the past I’ve been using other brands, which release a good quantity of chlorine which could be sensed well… In this brand, no such chlorine odour is felt and therefore I’m uncertain of it’s efficiency in releasing the required quantity of free chlorine. Obviously, if free chlorine is not released enough, then it may not kill the germs…..
