Very straightforward product, using these carpet freshener products is super easy where you just sprinkle it on the carpet and vacuum it up. The pet scent is very clean almost like a fresh linen smell and it’s not overpowering so it’s like a powder scent. Unlike other reviews, my order did not have the products sealed in an individual plastic bag so there was a little powder in the box that shook out from one of the containers. Not a lot, but I ordered this with a liquid cleaning solution as well so they were packaged together and the powder stuck to the bottle (the packaging is the only reason I gave it 4 stars). You can also use this on upholstery which is what I did to freshen our couch from our dog and it worked wonderfully!

I LOVE products that have such fresh, clean scents like this does!
I even sprinkle a lil bit in my cat litter boxes (just a little on top &/or mixed w/litter), & my kitties have absolutely no issues with the fragrance bother them.
I know there are quite a few other uses for this aside from just sprinkling it atop of carpets to vacuum up, & using in litter boxes as I do.
I often sprinkle it in hampers/laundry bags that have dirty laundry in ‘em! I really love this stuff!
I’ve tried other scents of it throughout the years, but this is most definitely favorite one.
And jsyk, just bc this specific one says it’s a deodorizer for “pet odors”. you don’t have to have pets to use it.
JUST BUY IT & YOU’LL SEE WHAT I MEAN!
I honestly can’t see anyone NOT loving the scent of it as much as I do! Even if you’re someone that’s “sensitive” to certain smells — I don’t think this one would bother those of you that are.

This powder works really well and eliminates oder and makes the carpet smell nice and fresh but be careful not to use too much! The scent is very strong it started to make me sick

There are 2 ways to use this product:
1) The traditional method is to turn the container upside down and dump visible stripes of powder onto your rugs, to try to vacuum up. This leaves BIG smells, more smelly powder inisde the vacuum to deal with, and… the product is used up fast, so you need to buy again.
2) Or, you can put about a tablespoon of powder into your left hand. Then, walk around your home sprinkling very tiny bits of powder like fairy dust. A tiny pinch here, and a tiny pinch there. Next, grab your non-electric carpet sweeper and dance your way through the house, picking up debris and dog hair. This method leaves rooms smelling fresh, even with a Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog in potty training mode.
A note about carpet sweepers: If you have a dog, a non-electric carpet sweeper is your best friend. It picks up hair, debris, and messes faster than a vacuum — so you can clean as needed fast, and keep your home suitable for both humans and pets. A carpet sweeper does not replace a vacuum. Instead, the sweeper extends the time between when deep vacuuming is needed. Thrift stores often have used carpet sweepers cheap, and new ones are on Amazon for roughly $35.
I LOVE this carpet fresh product, now that I’ve figured out how to use it daily with my carpet sweeper.

I give my dogs baths regularly. So I don’t ever seem to need this for my own dogs. I’ve never had anyone complain about the smell of dog in my home. But I also dog sit other peoples dogs in my home. And I will notice the smell of stinky unbathed dogs from them once they’ve been staying at my house a week or two. I will usually leave this on the carpet for 2-8 hours. Just depends on my schedule. I’d say it helps the best if you leave it on longer and let it work it’s way into the carpet. Me and the dogs have walked on it and I’ve had no issues and neither have they. It has a nice fresh scent. And I can confirm it helps cover the scent of stinky hounds lol
