Cognition –
air delivery is exactly under the fan only. rest of the room gets upward direction air flow!
‘boost’ mode is not working. actually it reduces the speed than ‘speed 5’.
1400 mm is less energy efficient than 1200 mm fan. it uses 20% more energy to make 8% more air flow than 1200 mm fan.
knocking sound occurs when switching on the fan. but not a big problem.
during working if we switch off the fan for some seconds and back on, fan need to halt and rotate backward little and resumes. it’s fun / scare to see the fan confuses itself to rotate. it try to rotate both direction then halts for some seconds and resume to normal😟. think of returning the fan due to this but considering energy efficiency i decided to ignore it!
noise is there. but absolutely no noise is coming from motor! it’s coming from blades beating air around. so definitely need to improve blade design.
fan speed is same as ordinary fans.
it is difficult to get breeze air from this fan. ‘speed 1’ is not enough. need ‘speed .5’ to achieve it! ‘speed 4’ is not necessary. ( please Atomberg, make this suggestion happen)
i sleep around 8 hours daily. so need ‘9 hour’ switch off timer. 1,2,3 and 6 hour auto off timer is there. instead 1,3,6 and 9 hour timer is needed.
there is no options to check whether timer or sleep function is active or not. also no button to cancel these functions.
takes 30 to 40 seconds to obtain full speed. (not a problem considering energy efficiency.)
This fan looks absolutely stunning on white coloured ceiling! two or three colour choice only? why don’t they make it in LOTS of colours variations?
this fan uses SMPS technology. due to this it’s prone to lightning and heavy surges. 3 years replacement warranty is there. after that i don’t know we get service or not.
fan speed is directly proportional to magnet power. magnet power reduces over time so efficiency of this fan too reduces over time. this is my view only. i don’t know it is correct or not.
THAT’S IT! these are the cons, that I can FIND on this fan!
coming to pros,
remote. off timer, auto speed reduction while sleeping. energy efficient.
if we use ‘timer 6’ and ‘sleep’ button at 11pm while going to sleep, then at 1am fan speed changes to one step down. at 3am speed changes to another step down. at 5am fan goes to standby mode! when room temperature at least in a day! thus eliminating parents job to daily switching off the fan to wakeup their childrens!
there is no humming sound while running on square wave inverter at all speeds. ‘speed 1’ takes only 6 Watts power (according to seller). it’s less than led bulbs! so we can run fan on inverter without worrying backup time.
changing old fan to this one is EXACTLY SAME AS changing filament bulb to LED BULB, cons and pros wise!

if i want a new fan I’ll surely buy this one. 8 ceiling fans are in my house. most of them uses occasionally. if they reduce 1000 rupees with or without exchange for this fan, definitely I’ll change all of them!
here in Kerala, 15 years back, government initiates to change incandescent bulb to CFL by giving subsidy or exchange free of cost. now trend goes to changing CFL to LED. I think Atomberg team can approach Kerala government to initiate the same with fan! ( if this product is proven the long term durability😜)

Was considering 1400mm wing span fans for living room and this aced the parameters I looked for.
Some of the good models does not have 1400mm spans with parameters I looked for.
Less wattage. Compared to competition (other 1400mm fans), this one has less wattage consumption. Also provides a booster when needed.
Fan noise is more in booster mode, but that is expected.
The rpm and air flow are great.
Price wise, this is the best for the 1400mm fans.

but aitflow is not upto the mark
20yr old 1200mm fan gives way better airflow than 1400mm atomberg, and its a similar review among others too
atomberg should also focus on performance rather than just claiming energy efficiency, as i don’t think majority of the population even cares about saving 1000rs for fan

Purchased 2 Gorilla fans of 1400mm to replace my old Crompton Aura fans that are installed in my 16×12 living room for the past 17 years. I have a mixed feedback for the Gorilla fans. I am giving my honest feedback and impressions here.
Product Quality:
One of the two fans purchased stopped working on the 2nd day itself. Amazon has replaced the fan promptly. However I had to spend 800 rupees for the electrician costs. It did not leave a good impression of the product quality and the company’s QC checks. The fan itself is lightly built in order to maximize the energy savings and in general built to the budget. On a positive note remote works well and the regulator less operation is more convenient. Also they are only slightly quieter than the old fans I replaced; here again I had higher expectations considering friction less BLDC motor etc.
Air delivery:
I had higher expectations on the air delivery as these fans are 1400mm; however it is disappointing. The air delivery is even lesser than the smaller Crompton fans I replaced. The fan also takes time to start and build the momentum/speed. One has to wait 2 to 3 minutes to get a suitable quantity of air. I think the problem is with the blade design; which are very thin and very light. The air delivery might be ok for smaller bed rooms or halls; but for my hall it was clearly not sufficient.
Asthetics
The fans have a plane jane look; nothing fancy. Nothing bad either. The fans fit well with the supplied rod. However my hall has a higher ceiling and I needed to go for a lengthier rod and the fan cups does not fit well with rods available locally. Tried 4 different rods and finally had to so dome jugaads with sticking the caps with tapes etc. And that leaved a gap between the fan cup and the rotor making the looks not so pleasant.
Energy savings:
My usage of fans is a bit heavy and after observing for the past 3 months; I can say the fans live to their claims of being energy efficient.
Overall unless you are obsessed with energy efficiency; I would say you explore other fans in the market before you make up your mind to get these Gorilla fans.

1400 mm blade size is very effective in air flow for a room size of 200 sq ft. I was using 1200mm, but no air flow in all areas of room. This one is fantastic. No fancy looks, but effective. Remote control is easy.

No maintenance till now.
Remot functionality is superb we can adjust speed at any time.
Power consumption is low. Didn’t tested the actual consumption but it works well and without noise on inverter battery whilenother fans make noise while working onn inverter.
