I had purchased 2 fans for a new flat and after installing, the flat was mostly locked. Yesterday while cleaning the flat, the fan was switched on and suddenly stopped working. Called the crompton helpline and they were prompt to attend on the same day but after checking said there is a major problem with the fan and will take time to resolve. I have a crompton (crompton greaves) at home which was purchased in 1984 and is still working like a charm. I believe they dont make fans like that anymore.
Update: The upside after the above was that, the service from Crompton was very prompt and was attended the same day. The service provider couldnt solve the issue on the same day and resolved the issue in 1-2 days

Value for money product in the entry range of fans. I ordered two for my rented accommodation. Less noise, good spread of air. I expected nothing more from these fans. Thanks Crompton and Amazon for this.

The media could not be loaded.
The air flow is 80% vertical only. If you are searching for a ceiling fan with air delivery in the whole room then this is not the right choice for you. If your bed or table is right at the bottom then it’s a perfect choice. Also, the fan makes considerable noise at full speed which is expected at this price range. Other than this it’s running fine and 380 rpm is just sufficient.

They have cut cost at some places which is evident – the blades a bit thinner than my other fans, the cones are very filmsy. Other than these, the fan is okay. Good air flow and good speed – although air flow is in nearby zones only which is very typical of regular ceiling fans – so nothing to complain about.
I only wish the blades were sturdier.
