Buying a Brand that isn’t popular out there like Usha, Orient is difficult when it comes to Indian housholds, that too something that’s a bit more expensive than the mainline brands. I had these things going on before buying Atomberg fan, but after a month of using it, I am convinced that the purchase has made justice to the reviews. The fan is of high quality, and the speed is also quite good. Worth the price.

I am writing this review after using the fan for six months.
Packaging was good. Build quality is very good. Grills, paint quality, plastic quality is superior to most other brands. Assembling the fan was easy.
After starting the fan one can immediately notice the loud noise it makes. Even at lowest level, the fan noise is quite noticeable and at full speed it can get annoying. At night average noise level in my house is around 35-40 dB. After starting the fan at low level, the noise meter records 65 dB at 1m distance from the fan. And at high level it goes up to 75 to 78 dB. Such a high level of noise makes this fan unsuitable for rooms where quietness is desired.
Main reason for purchasing this fan was its low power consumption. I have another BLDC ceiling fan from other manufacturer which is rated at 25 watts at maximum speed and it consumes additional 4 watts at every increase in speed. However, energy consumption of Atomberg wall fan is not that properly adjusted. At lowest speed the fan consumes 21-22 watts, at middle speed it consumes 28-29 watts and at highest speed my unit consumes 35-36 watts. So in reality the fan consumes more wattage than advertised. Secondly since this fan uses additional motor for horizontal oscillations, it consumes 3-4 watts of additional power at every speed level. Hence at maximum speed with horizontal oscillations turned on, the fan consumes 39-40 watts of power. During winter I felt little chilling effect even at low fan speed. Hence I feel that the manufacturer could have provided two lower additional power levels around 7 and 14 watts which could made this fan usable in winter. Vertical tilt mechanism is manual and latches easily.
The provided remote is a example of preference of minimalism over functionality. Only four buttons are provided; power, speed+, speed- and one for oscillations. The horizontal oscillation button is kind of hit or miss. When it is desired to quickly change the direction, double pressing the button quickly works but 2 out 5 times. Many times we have to wait for the oscillation to complete the cycle in order to set the fan at desired angle. I feel that the manufacturer could have provided two separate buttons for direction change.
The fan remembers its previous power level in case of a power cut starts on automatically. Indicator LEDs turn off after 3 minutes and there is no LED glow in the night.
As this fan was designed by the IIT Mumbai alumni, I was expecting a neat perfect product. But the overall experience leaves quite a lot to be desired. High noise level, higher than advertised power consumption and minimal remote are the main cons. Whereas build quality, vertical tilt mechanism are the pros. I hope they improve the product in version 2.

The price of this fan is higher than most other brands, but it is entirely value for money. It is sleek, light-weight and the remote operation is flawless. But most importantly the brushless dc motor is a gem. It is extremely power efficient and practically noiseless. It is better to pay marginally higher at the time of buying, to get low electricity bill and genuine comfort in return. No other brand can match the quality of this product.

This is little bit costly when compared to all other competitive products, available in the market. As it is new in the market we need to look in to all possible nearby service center’s (Chennai)Air throw is Okay up to 2 mtrs, beyond that it’s getting lesser. But I have better Air throw in Orient Wall Mounting fan. It’s BRUSHLESS DC Motor should provide much energy efficiency, when compared to all other Wall Mounting fans.

Looks wise it is fine, and Atomberg products are energy efficient, and remote works well. It is not very silent given its cost and other good features; less noise in operation would have earned my five stars.

After having used Atomberg ceiling fans at home, I was impressed by the quality of the brand and recommended it to a number of my friends and relatives who purchased it and are really happy at the performance of the fans.
Therefore I went on to purchase a wall fan from Atomberg and had an initial disappointment of having received a noisy fan. To my surprise Atomberg replaced the fan with a new fan, promptly, and am delighted at their positive attitude to resolving customer complaints and kudos to the Customer Care Department commitment for their product and brand name.
The fan was very easy to assemble with a star screw driver. I already had a wall bracket in place; thus it was easy to install it too. The best part is that the remote control is cute and very responsive and one does not need to move up and down to operate the fan.
