Lodge Camp Dutch Oven Lid Lifter

I bought this to lift the lids and cast iron pots out of a campfire or coals. Worked well. I like the end of it because the two short legs steady the lid when you open a pot lid. It is sturdy being made from wrought iron. It is painted black and I expect that paint to eventually fall off, but it appears to be suitable for hot conditions. I have used it twice with no chipping or paint smell. It is long enough to reach into an average sized campfire without risking burning one’s hands. The ring on the end allows it to be hung up. I wouldn’t take it backpacking due to the weight, but the length will fit easily into the cubby hole of an RV storage area. I am happy with my purchase.

Well made, works well on Lodge and my other Dutch Oven, but to be expected from this quality manufacturer, for products made in America.
