This Dutch Oven is awesome! We made a wonderful Artesan bread and a Garlic Roast that were both delicious. The variety of meals you can prepare is amazing. We cannot wait to try more recipes. By far this is the most verstile cookware we have ever owned.

Heavy, durable, and solid. Don’t keep it on the top shelf. If you drop it, you’ll probably kill someone!

This is the second Lodge Dutch oven I’ve bought, and it is fantastic. No need to spend 2 or 3 times the price on a fancy brand name; Lodge is high quality, looks good and performs perfectly.
Yoga and Face Yoga –
After 15 years of frequent use, I burned my Le Creuset dutch oven, and the enamel inside chipped. As much as I loved that pot, I did not want to spend over $300 to buy a new one. This Lodge pan is every bit as beautiful, and it’s even a little bit larger and a bit heavier, yet the price is much more reasonable. I will love this one just as much.
As far as the reviewer with the pot that turned dark on the bottom, that can be expected, depending on what you’re cooking. It happened to my Le Creuset. It is not rust, it’s just food staining the white enamel. You can use a gentle cleaner like Bar Keeper’s Friend, and try not to cook on very high heat.
