The product is very good, heavy, non sticky overall gives good feel and aroma while cooking.
One star because the product is much bigger than specified its capacity is more then 3L atleast for a small family it will be to much for daily usage. So it doesn’t serve the purpose for me.

Notes of caution —-Take some time to seasoning it, before use. Cooking on cast iron is not like any other nonstick utensils. It is not nonstick if not seasoning well. IT IS MADE OF CAST IRON AND ALL PURE CAST IRON UTENSILS CAN NOT BE USED IN INDUCTION ST AND IS NOT COMPATIBLE ALSO. It is HEAVY and Can RUST as per the nature of iron. This Cast iron Kadai is coated with enamel and will come out which is normal. Should not use a soap because you would damage the seasoning. All cast iron doesn’t exactly heat evenly, but it holds heat well. This just means that you have to sufficiently preheat the pan before you use to ensure even cooking. If you turn the burner on high, it will start to store LOTS of heat. But it still is warming up slowly. By the time you think that the cast iron is hot, it has STORED up a tremendous amount of heat. It’s WAY too hot. At that point, you turn down the heat. But it doesn’t matter because the heat is STORED. iron leaves traces of itself in the food, This tends to change the color of the food which is good for health.
Seasoning- best and desi way to do it for first use- Soak it overnight in water Then, add plenty of oil and fry onions in it OR first deep-fry something before you start using
The use of CAST IRON UTENSILS is very old special in India. Cooking on cast iron is an art give some time to your self take time to know it do not compare it with stainless. If you’re an impatient person, this is not for you. However, if you enjoy cooking and you’re looking for an item that will improve and enhance your results, this is definitely for you.
This is the very best and very long-lasting utensil. From my side, the best food to cook will be saag because of iron content etc.
The quality of the Kadai is good to go for it.
P.S I have a very big cast iron Kadai at my home around about 90 years old and still be used every day.

This is a beautiful looking and useful kadai. BUT, the base is NOT induction compatible. Initially it will heat up, but soon the heat will expand the bottom curvature, and contact with the induction stove will be lost. Why? Because this does NOT have a specifically designed flat bottom necessary for ongoing contact. The bottom looks flattish, but on heating, that is lost!!!

We cleaned it with soap water ans seasoned a bit with oil and medium or low heat
kadai is now working well . gravey, kurry and several recipes are possible
