Seems like a well built replacement product provided it fits your unit. Won’t fit on a 6qt Duo SV.

I bought this to replace the original steam release valve on my 6qt Instant Pot. The original didn’t work properly and would not seal properly. This one works perfectly!!!

I purchased this unit to replace the one that came with my Mueller 6 quart pressure cooker, since I accidentally broke the original. This is a very high quality part that fits and works perfectly with my Mueller. It has an identical weight and size to the original (3.0 oz.) so it is a direct fit replacement. High quality, excellent matching finish, very pleased, so I bought several more, just in case.

So now I know that the pressure valve can’t go in the dishwasher.
Somehow our original valve dropped into the sink, and got submerged in some gunky water. I put it through the dishwasher cycle and it came out looking mangled and chewed up.
Ordered this replacement and it worked like a charm! Now I know to keep it clear from the sink.
