I bought this cos it’s a replica of tefal pressure cookers, however the comparison end with just that, the lid of the cooker is very heavy so prestige has saved up by skimping on the thickness of the base, which has left me with a cooker that cannot be used for any heavy duty cooking cos everything burns and sticks to the bottom, I made lamb curry with gravy yet the pieces stuck to the base inspite of the fact that it was on absolute sim. I simmerd in the lowest flame for just 12 mins after the initial whistle, yet it burned. Tried next time chicken biryani with a flame tamer thinking my hob is too hot … 5 mins sim in the lowest after first whistle and everything was stuck to the bottom. Sad story, looks good no leaks in pressure but not useful for any cooking other than with a separator vessel inside. Inspite of a gas hob and flame tamer this is my situation. Absolute waste of money … alloy base of my butterfly cooker is much heavier and nothing ever stick in it …

We have had pressure cookers for ever. This is the first one that has not worked as it should.
– Pressure leaks from all around
– Cooker has to build peak pressure before the valve will shut. More than likely, food will get burnt if the water is less. Older cookers, you are in control and manually close the valve to ensure water does not evaporate before pressure builds
– Takes very long time to build pressure event at full heat. Never sure if it is working properly due to earlier point. Also means that it is less efficient
Will want to return this and get a normal pressure cooker. Will recommend not to buy.

It’s noisy and scare me I leave kitchen when it start whistling and food stick too I thought it’s littke pricy so it should be awesome but it’s just like any other cooker which cost 20 dollar with no brand but this one it’s just fine not expected like this …

I opened the product a little late as it was delivered when we where outstation. Cooked meat item in the cooker and notices water frothing out of the whistle………. on subsequent use I reduced the quantity of water and the results were good. I guess we have to use a little less water as compared to other normal pressure cooker . Cleaning also was not so hard,…… this product is recommended.

While this might be perfect for some and not-a-big-deal for others, it is not ok for me.
I have a 5-litre aluminium pressure cooker that I use with two (one for the dal, other for rice) or three (potatoes, beans) stainless steel separators. Living alone, I have no issue of quantity and the 16 x 4 cm separators do just fine.
The reason I wanted a bigger one was that my current cooker has inner lid and stacking three separators with a lid for each, with the grid already at the bottom, becomes a juggler’s show to get going.
This is a 5-litre one but unfortunately hardly taller than the one I use. It’s wide. So, for those looking for quantity this would do great. With an outer lid, stacking three separators is not an issue as the “angling” of the lid we have to do for inner ones is not in the play.
Since my issue was stacking three separators easily, this could have done just as fine. It doesn’t.
First, as it is wide (4 cm wider, to be exact, than my current one), the small diameter separators can and do move around inside, messing up the contents as they can slant more than 45 degrees when you place it on the heat.
Being careful works but that’s not all.
Second, being steel, it is not as good a conductor of heat as aluminium and takes about 20% longer than the latter to cook. For instance, the first whistle on aluminium one sounds after like five minutes at 1500 watts on my induction cooktop (it did in three when it was new, set flat on the cooktop, and the sandwich bottom was not a convex (now the contact area is limited to slightly off-centre, for like three or less centimetres—another reason to get a new one), as induction cooktops make aluminium ones, including hard anodised ones, bulge over time (if yours was said to be flat and turned out to be raised in the centre, you didn’t get a new one or got one that didn’t pass the QC, was rejected, but still ended up with the seller who sold it to you). This takes close to seven. I reduce the heat to 300 watts after the first whistle and since where I live the water is hard and I don’t use baking soda to help the dal to dissolve faster, I let six more before turning the heat off. This one rushes the remaining whistles within a span of nest 5–6 minutes: the result is semi-cooked dal that doesn’t dissolve fully.
With this new knowledge, I let it go for nine whistles next day. The result? Same.
I don’t know if it’s ok for the lid to rotate easily even as pressure builds up inside or not because this is my first experience with a clip-on. I doubt that the pressure ever so slowly keeps leaking (probably the blown up ones mentioned in a few reviews here with images did not leak any pressure), allowing the dal to remain adamant.
This is not a good option for me as I prefer fully dissolved dal. I don’t like multilayer dal, with semi-soft grains at the bottom, water in the middle, and tempering on top.
So, while this might be perfect for some and not-a-big-deal for others, it is not ok for me.

It is a superb product easy to use pressure lid fits perfevtly just got it yesterday. Tried it. Its very esy to use the pressure lids can be just put on i dont have yo match the grovves. Also I ordered the stainless steel version 5 litres as it is a safe option for indian cooking as metals dont see into food and cause health problems im happy with my purchse. After readibg the review i found many people hve problem with steam seeping out from the lid so i have to test it

Writing a review after few months of use and cooking various foods.
Quality: Cooker, Lid, Gasket and Whistle all are of premium quality. They are very sturdy and looks elegant.
Usefulness: Lid is extremely easy to lock and open. As it is made of steel, weight is bit higher compared to aluminium lids. Cleaning is also easy and fast.
Final Statement: Extremely value for money product. If budget is not a constraint then definitely buy it.
