Note: Item purchased with my own funds for my own use. The review consists of my own experiences with the product and has not been checked or approved by anyone else before submitting.
Great addition to the kitchen; I use it along with my existing 20-year old 6 liter Fagor Rapida and 2 liter Prestige Alpha I purchased December 20232. Shipping was super-fast and the unit arrived in excellent condition.
Note 01: 4-liters is the internal size, it’s closer to 3.0 as the lid area and the fact that you shouldn’t over-fill the unit takes off 1-liter. If you require 4-lters of actual liquids or food get a size or two larger.
4-liters is large enough for many cooking chores for 1-4 people. i strongly suggest purchasing a steaming rack if you do not have one. I use a multi-level rack I had for buns some time ago as a food divider. I use this for bone broth soups, large amounts of root vegetables, whole chicken and so forth. The size can handle 1-3 people, I’d consider a larger unit for 4+ people if you plan only to purchase one size.
Where possible I use the smaller 2-liter size (Prestige Alpha) to save even more on energy and plan to get a 3-liter size as well. I try to choose the SMALLEST size I can when cooking as each size up requires more energy to bring to pressure, more energy is lost (radiated) and more is required to keep it at pressure. Sometimes due to cooking time differences I might use two. I tend to quickly press the pressure bottom quickly (being CAREFUL not to burn myself and using a glove) to get an idea of pressure and then ‘back off’ 1/2 to 15 PSI. Once you get the hang of it you can go a whole cycle and not have it vent even once (wastes liquid, steam and energy) yet be pretty close to the 15 PSI pressure limit.
Quality is very high. Stainless steel was thick enough (food doesn’t burn) with no cosmetic flaws. Handle is sturdy. The unit is the smallest I saw with a ‘pop-up’ pressure indicator which I use for timing meals. Closes tightly with no gasket leaks. Pop-up indicator is of good quality. Safety pressure release valve has a plastic core to prevent overheating; I suggest buying a spare. The 4-liter version has a second smaller handle as well which makes it easier to carry/move when heavy.
The pressure regulator is very good. It gives off less steam then my Fagor 6 liter unit. It’s also not like the ‘jiggly-top’ low cost pressure cookers I’ve used in the past like Presto. This one (so far) keeps the pressure in with no leakage until it reaches a certain point then it gives off a burst. If you can keep it below this there’s no or little steam leakage. With the ‘jiggly’ regulators I find they require more water due to excessive steam venting resulting in lost liquid, steam and energy.
Tip 01: I use “Bar Keepers Friend” Stainless polish once in a while to keep it shiny, Comet cleanser in-between.
Tip 02: A black anodised version if you protect the handles/plastic parts can be used in a solar cooker setup if you’re careful (read up on-line).
Tip 03: The leftover liquid from many vegetables and even meats often makes a tasty soup. Fr this reason I sometimes add more water then required.
CAUTION 01: If you cook on a gas hob as I do you’ll need to wrap the handle with foil and make something to direct the heat away from the handle. If you look under the unit at the flame you want to make sure it doesn’t go to handle which is heat resistant plastic. This won’t be an issue with induction cook-tops of regular electric stove-tops. The unit require little heat to keep it at pressure.
CAUTION 02 – There is NO handle pressure lock so make sure the pressure indicator is DOWN, then take off the pressure regulator using gloves or oven mitts before opening to ensure there is no internal pressure. Follow the directions in the manual.

I purchased three of these prestige pressure cookers a little over a year ago. Small, medium and large. I have cooked about anything you could imagine in them. By the way if you haven’t made rice or potatoes (for mashing) in one, you’re really missing out on some amazing flavors in seemingly bland foods. Anyway, with all the use and washing (by hand) these cookers still look, shine and work like new. One of my best purchases of all time.

Handle of the presurre cooker has been separated from lid within 3 months of usage where as company claims of 10 yrs service. Even though cheap product has been provided, they are chaging of replacement.
Don’t ever buy this product.

The perfect size ..i have been waiting since so long. Easily cookable for family of 3/4. Elders love it and best for any couple. For kids also nice size. I have used various litres but this one is just perfect. Value for money. Checked with prestige store outlets, more or less the same prize that upon exchange. In amazon i didnt have to exchange but got it at 50rs more than the store price if exchanged. So i have the old one & new one and no exchange required. I totally love it. Thabk you Amazon.

Actually, it’s a bit difficult to review.
GOOD:
– awesome quality
– easy to use, especially “pressure indicator” really useful
– build to last forever (my old one the same kind of was 14 years old, and retired only due to not enough volume)
UGLY:
– IT’S ONLY 3 LITERS, in fact!!!! OMG, how come?? So minus two stars, sorry.

Los materiales del producto son buenos, después de mas de 6 meses de uso mi única recomendación es saber medir la temperatura idónea para que la coacción sea la esperada.

Pros : Good product and durable. Also otbos steel hence expected to be better than aluminum cookers. Also gas saving and easy and fast cooking.
Cons : This brand has to learn how to measure. The capasity given is not exact and actual capasity is always less for any prestige pressure cooker. Sobalways buy higher capacity is f you want to meet expectation. I think they are counting capacity of lid as well.

I am using this cooker almost daily from last 3years. No issues. I am staying out of India .
It’s Easy to clean, handle , cook
Acts as non stick if properly heated n then put oil.
I have cooked chicken curry n all kinds of sabjee , dal , pulav , rice items in 1-2spoon oil
Nothing sticks in this cooker , n if by any chance it’s extremely easy to clean.
Amazing
Just go for it!
Attaching video n pic of my 3yo cooker.
I bought 4L cooker, but 3l is best as it can be used as kadhaii or pan n cooker as well.
I wish to buy 3l cooker or pressure pan soon.
Con: initially light tight handle but with little pressure you can close it once you get it. But it’s worth it.
I have Hawkins 2l cooker also. It’s equally good as we are sometimes 2ppl only so fast cooking.
I love outer lid cooker more though😄
