Feels heavier than most other cookers of same or even slightly larger capacity and can definitely last for generations. Compared to the Deluxe Alpha models, the lid operation is also smoother on the triply series. However, few differences are immediately noticeable when compared to other triply pressure cookers – 1) glossy/mirror finish interior 2) gasket is nitrile/rubber and not silicone 3) safety valve is aluminum 4) handles seem durable although the quality could have been better. If these can be overlooked, the product would be a great buy.

It’s a good product but the upper lid handle is made of plastic only, no metal core. I have given four stars as i don’t like the handle. I doubt the durability/longetivity of the handle. I have used it a week only. Body is triply, glossy finish. I bought as i needed the outer lid and i like the safety feature therwise hawkins.
