Okay so this is it… The review after about 1 week of use. My old saucepan was made of steel and I wasn’t very keen to change it. It cost me just ₹100/- However, it was turning permanently stained and black as steels do when subjected to high heat. So even though this costs 4 times what I usually would have bought, I had a go.
Not that I went blindly. I researched and read the reviews and found that everyone was talking about the pan being heavy… Not staying upright… The spillage problem…
And here’s my observation:
Heavy it definitely will be. It’s of good quality anodized metal. So when the saucepan is full, it will be steady on its own. But when it’s empty, I suggest to those who use gas oven to place the pan in such a way that the handle stays right above one of the four rungs of the burner.
As for the spillage problem. Have a look at my video. If you pour slowly, it doesn’t spill. But increase the flow and it will spill. The notch on the side has limited capacity and we are generally impatient. We pour out too much too quickly. I’ll request the manufacturers to take note of this and see if they can improve even more.
Overall. A YES and a PLUS from me. It’s a great product and not at all expensive. Well worth the money.
