I just bought this tawa today after I tried to clean my trusty old one of the same brand (and destroyed it…my mistake exclusively). This tawa is AWESOME. But you need to know how to use it properly to get results. The tawa must first be heated on high heat on the stove WITHOUT oil, then the flame must be switched to low and the oil added then. If you follow these steps and cook your dosa and eggs on a low flame without having added the oil before heating the pan it is guaranteed nothing will stick. Those who reported food sticking to it have done the rookie mistake of heating the oil along with the PAN and kept cooking at high heat…DON’T do it.
If that pan wasn’t as superb as it is, trust me, I would not have rushed to Amazon to replace the one I just totalled. Also bear in mind that it is better to do the cleaning of that pan yourself and not let the maid handle it.

Good tawa. Makes dosas without sticking.
Tends to overheat especially on my ceramic job.
Have to cool it periodically with cold water splashes.

If you are confused with Hard Anodised and Nos Stick Tawa, then this review is for you.
No doubt Non Stick cookware is better than hard anodised if you can avoid using metal while cooking and washing.
This tawa is good in term of sturdiness, its stylish, and very heavy, so the quality is good.
What i did not like about the tawa is that
– Its not non stick in anyway. Its like using a aluminium utensil, so lot of ghee or oil will be required.
– We use it for making rotis, and it will retain the burn marks and very difficult to wash.
I have stopped ordering Hard anodised cookware but FUTURA is the best brand you can get in Non stick. worth every penny

I have been cooking over 14 years and this has been the best tawa in non stick categories. Works on glass cook top and do not warp easily

I am writing this review after holding the product for 3 years. Yes, I did not try for almost 3 years since when I tried making dosas, they stuck.
Then I read all reviews recently, and became aware of how to use it. This is the only tawa you will ever need for any kind of dosas, parathas, uttapams and tawa fried recipes.
Steps for making dosa:
1. Heat tawa till very hot (without any oil), till you can feel the hotness of you hold your palm few inches above tawa.
2. Smear oil evenly.
3. Simmer to low heat.
4. Pour dosa batter and cook as usual, over low flame only. Drizzle few drops of oil or ghee on each dosa you make, everytime.

Nice sturdy cookware. You feel safe that unlike non stick coating in normal pans, nothing is contaminating your food.

It’s a nice product, but you try to avoid oil while making parantha, else it will leave brown marks. For chapati it’s great.. better than non stick. Even if you get brown marks it’s really east to clean with light scrub.. it removes easily.
