I have been using the Idli cooker for about 6 months now. The base of the idli cooker started rusting after 4 months of use. Wouldn’t recommend buying.

It’s sturdy and well designed great to use but they should add a wooden silicon or rubber handle to the lid and side handles, its too hot to touch otherwise, burns your hand.

Today on 01-09-2024, in the afternoon I received the product delivery from Amazon.
With Product box packing company says it’s SS304 Grade steel material, but rust marks on product prove it wrong. Build Quality is also not that up to standard expected but not bad too. For the value I spent for this it’s that much only.
Rest let me use it and come to know about its worth purchase in practical sense.

There were no instuctions, and no reply from the sellers.
So, I expermented and ruined couple of recipes.
Then I was able to create a satisfactory recipe.
I will keep this product.

This is my 2nd buy for this product. The first one was just perfect so ordered 2nd one as gift.
However the lid does not fit easily, and once you close it, it is too tight to remove. You literally need 2 people, one to hold the hot pot with napkin, the other to lift the lid.
So you can not keep checking on idlis if they are cooked while on gas, because it is impossible to remove lid with one hand.
Please test the lid design, it should be wider by 2-3 milimeters more. Right now it is exactly as wide as the pot.

The whole set is really good. Additional plus over others is…the idli cavity size is good. 7-7.5 cm . I had to return some good idli makers earlier because of small idli sizes. This one solves the issue .

I never had this much bad experience with Amazon ever. Delivery got delayed for 2 weeks. Finally when the product got delivered the quality as not mentioned, the material edge wasn’t finished it hurt my hand and I got a big cut on my finger. The plates are too close so the idlies touch each other. Immediately I return the proudct, still got charged.

It is a good idly pot. Liked the plastic free design. Unfortunately it didn’t work on our Induction stove. Had to return it.
