CRYSTAL – Stainless Steel Lighter, Multicolour

Product is excellent but it came improperly assembled due to which it stopped working within a few weeks. Upon opening I found that metal discs which cover the top and the bottom of the flint stone were improperly installed on one side due to which it chipped. I cleaned everything and reinstalled it properly and now it works like it should. Company should focus on assembling though.

It’s a wonderful lighter.
I used it earlier also which worked for more that 10yrs.
Don’t see the price. It’s price may be double than the other branded companies or triple than the local brands but it works 10times better than them.

But u don’t need also. Warranty is just for an year. And crystal is very very strict wrt warranty.
Also, its profit margin is very less for the dealer. Max 20%
Where as in other brands dealer gets, 300 to 400%margine. So local vendors are not interested in selling crystal lighter. Other lighter will last for max a year. I bought Anjali last time, since Crystal was not available, anjali worked for a year. That’s all.
Also, dealers may give u scheme that u bring old lighter and get discount of rs 20 or so on new one which theyay sell it for. 100, whose cost price is just Rs 30/-.

So don’t get fooled by local vendors. Buy crystal lighter.

Precautions and Maintainance :
1. Don’t put it in water like your mobile.
2. Don’t put it on fire, though steel body but inside there is. Plastic.
3. If water goes inside, like mobile try to open the back knob, or just shake well or use hair dryer, like we do for mobile.
4. Keep the nosal tip clean with dry cloth. Most important. Do it once in 3months for domestic use.
Or if u don’t see any spark coming.
