For the price it’s a very good quality product! This knife lasts for years if you keep sharpening it. The handle also doesn’t get loose at all

Very sharp and weightdistribution in on the point, finally got my star product. I never thought one almond can slice into that many pieces. Just go for it, it’s an all-rounder in the cutting and chopping team.

Reviewing after almost a month of usage.
Knife was not sharp enough on delivery. On cutting tomatos it somewhat crushes them before slicing. Need to apply some force if vegetables are firm like big onions or carrots. Also cut vegetables stick to the knife.
Otherwise build quality and balance of knife is good.

Right out of the box it’s sharp, clean, sturdy, and looks good. Instead of buying a whole set, this was really cost effective and useful as well. The blade is soo much bigger than I expected.

It’s an amazing product.
Please refer attached pictures before reading further. The picture with multiple knives set was bought 12 years ago for USD 80 (around Rs.3500 at that time, Brand: Tools of the Trade). By considering money paid wrt number of knives, the current price of Solimo knife seems to be reasonably priced.
Coming to quality of Chinese products, I think we have wrong impression about Chinese products. It all depends on money we would like to pay, it’s a trade between price vs quality. The ”Tools of the Trade” knives bought 12 years back are still in good condition, No rusting or breaking, though they are also made in China. In last several years, we have used them heavily and sometimes in a hurry we have kept them uncleaned for couple of days, still no rusting. BTW, all the knives need regular sharpening.
Coming to magnet test, both “Tools of the Trade” and Solimo products fails the magnet test (i.e. both the knives gets attracted to magnet). Even though magnet test failure, nothing happened to “Tools of the Trade” knives in last 12 years. I am not sure, whether magnate test is the only way to check the quality of knives.
The size, sharpness and comfort of this knife is very good, it’s an amazing chef knife. I could easily cut the vegetables (especially tomatoes) with great comfort.
By looking at quality of this product, I have bought meat cleaver knife from Solimo.
Overall it’s a great product and it’s a value for money.
Regarding rusting and strength (durability) part, let me use it for some days and will update my review. Hence one less star.
