Bought this esp for cooking south Indian items. Having this set made it even easier to portion and make similar-sized dosas and uthapas every time. Good quality steel, easy to clean and store. Highly recommend it!!

The ladle is so short that my hand can very well feel the entire heat of the dosa tawa while making it. Even the dosa turner is not so great, it’s extra thick at the edge that makes it difficult to scrape off the dosa edges to remove it out of the pan.

The construction quality of this dosa-making set is good. However, the working edge of the palta (spatula) is a bit too thick and the handle of the ladle is too short. By using a whetstone, I was able to sharpen the working edge of the spatula to a suitable thinness. The handle of the ladle is only five inches (95 mm), but a better length would be an additional three inches (75 mm), to avoid touching the hot cooking surface of the tawa or pan.

The combo item was God send. Its utility value can’t be explained, it’s that good. Highly recommended for Dosa eaters.

It would be ideal if the handle on the scoop were longer. As other reviewers have noted, the short handle means your hand is close to the tawa or skillet when you are spreading the dosa batter. I do not use the spatula, but my brother-in-law uses it when making uttapams and it works well for that.

As many other reviewers have mentioned, the spatula is very very small. I am not able to use it for Dosa and I am using it for other purposes. Overall quality is good.

While the dosa turner in well designed and quite easy to use, the spoon is not so good. Its handle is too short so not convenient to use. Also the flat bottom does not spread the batter well. It could also have been rounded so that it was comfortable to hold.

Very small and light, so exposes your hand to the heat from the dosa griddle. The scraper is not wide enough. Overpriced, especially if you have an Indian grocery store within reach. My search for the perfect dosa ladle continues…
