I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s turned out to be a handy kitchen helper. Works like a dream for creaming, beating and whipping. The weight is well balanced and the grip comfortable so it doesn’t tire your hands. Have used this for light and dense mixtures (like cookie dough) and it has passed with flying colours every time. It’s much better at whipping yogurt than the stick blender. You can rest it on it’s base when the attachments are on, so there’s no fear of messing up the counter top. The cord winds up snugly around the base and the entire contraption takes up little precious cabinet space.
As some other reviewers have mentioned, the two problems I’ve faced till now are – 1) the slowest speed is not slow enough specially when you whip or beat. The solutions that I’ve adopted to get over this problem are a) to get a deeper mixing bowl with steeper sloping sides that contain the splatter and b) to use a spatula to lightly fold in the dry ingredients with the wet before using the hand mixer. This does increase the investment of time and effort by a few seconds, but it’s totally worth it. 2) It emanates an unpleasant smell like that of over heated metal when its been used for more than 3 mins at a stretch specially for dense mixtures. That’s probably the time that you need to shut it down and give it a rest for a couple of minutes and you’re good to go again.
In all, no regrets in buying this. Complete value for money.

Mir gefällt sonst alles am Mixer; nur die Quirle lassen sich sehr
schwer entfernen. Ebenso “störrisch” ist die Entwurf-Taste!

Ich habe mich für diesen Mixer entschieden, da dies eines der wenigen Modelle mit robusten, dickeren Rührstäben ist, die auch noch lang sind.
Die Rührstäbe haben sich schon durch etliche Kuchenteige gekämpft und halten immer noch.
Der Mixer macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und schafft es mehrere Minuten auf voller Stufe ohne dabei zu überhitzen. Der Mixer wird mit zwei Knethaken geliefert, die ebenfalls sehr robust sind.

Ho acquistato questo SBATTITORE ELETTRICO PHILIPS HR1459 00 perché oltre alle normali fruste è dotato di ganci per l’impasto.
Nella confezione oltre allo sbattitore, con impugnatura ergonomica, ho trovato due ganci in acciaio inox per impastare e 2 fruste a nastro in acciaio inox, oltre al manuale d’uso. La garanzia è di 2 anni.
Il motore è di 300 W e vi è la possibilità di regolare 5 diverse velocità oltre alla funzione turbo utili per preparare moltissime ricette. Grazie infatti agli accessori offerti in dotazione è possibile preparare impasti duri (come ad esempio quello per il pane o per la pizza o la pasta frolla per i biscotti) o montare gli albumi o la panna. E’ possibile inoltre realizzare le vostre creme preferite per farcire i vostri dolci!
È uno strumento leggero, pratico, maneggevole e facile da pulire anche comodamente in lavastoviglie.
Sono soddisfatto del prodotto, ma segnalo la tendenza a surriscaldarsi se usato per troppo tempo in maniera continuativa. Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che cercano un prodotto pratico e versatile con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!

Excellent product. Very handy and useful with many processes. Comes with 2 pairs of beaters only. Manual seems to be outdated and a bit misleading. Philips – Made in China. The product works like a charm, effective and ‘handy’. And yes. it Does SMELL like burning cables while working [ May be its because its new and also for first uses (hopefully).
Pros:
– 300 W [enough power when we need it]
– Good built quality [sturdy and material is good]
– Button to release the pair of metal beaters [ handy]
– 5 speed + turbo mode
– not too bulky. just about right size.
– Effective and efficient for this price range [ Tried it while making cake]
Cons:

– make a bit of noise [expected]
– The cable is connected in an awkward positions that it touches your wrist all the time.
As usual, Amazon had delivered it in a super fast way. Brilliant packing, well protected. Very useful and handy. Recommended stuff.

I purchased the Philips HR1459 from Amazon Fulfilled. Received the item couple of days before schedule. Packing intact. Product matches website description to the dot. Instructions and guarantee papers within the product pack intact. Sales invoice safely attached to the outside shipper pack intact. After reading some negative customer experiences on Amazon.in. I checked the motor unit, beaters and dough hooks thoroughly. Could not find a fault. Again, with reference to some reported negative experiences, the HR1459 was less noisy than many so-called low noise mixies and food processor I have seen abroad. Not at all disturbing. No disturbing smell other than what one generally expects when a new motor starts to run. Beater and dough hook shafts seemed to be made of single intact rods, i.e. no welding noticed midway. Used it to make a cake, my first ever, yesterday. The experience turned out very well. Will try to make dough for bread someday soon. Hope it turns out well too. Complaints? Just one, if I must, at the moment. The lowest speed itself is quite fast. May not be suitable to work up a dough. Don’t really know for now. I won’t consider that a tragedy though. But if it does the job successfully, then I would consider that a bonus!.A lot of engineering needs to go into making a normal motor turn a shaft that slow. Its too much to expect for the price you pay for this little kitchen tool. And yes, my HR1459 also was made in China! Absolutely nothing to worry about so long as it is made to the specifications of a reputed company. In short, an excellent buy and only use the trusted “Amazon Fulfilled” service.

The product is really nice quality specially very powerful motor. Using it for 3 years now and no problems till date. Two different attachment are provided inside the box for different purpose.
Use it for daily chores in the kitchen and does the work really fast.
The 5 speed control is really good with a turbo button included which rotates the motor at full speed.
Really easy to use handy and light weight.
Using more than 8-10 minutes at more than 3(speed) can result in heating but it doesn’t affect the product in anyway.
The wire quality is really good with a 2 pin plug.
The product is easy to clean and the lock mechanism for attachments is good too.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a hand blender at a decent price point.

A must have tool for all the home bakers. It does the job to perfection with ease. The mixer is very powerful. It has 2 whisks or beaters which work parallel simultaneously. There are total of 4 speeds but I guess the lowest and the maximum speed are enough for any requirements. I have used this for cake mixing, flan or Caramel custard mix, egg beating when number of eggs are more than 4 and as expected did its job well. To give it a more stress, I tried beating banana for my banana cake and surprisingly it did the job very well because of its powerful motor. Regarding kneading the dough, it is not helpful at all. Ultimately you have to use your hand for dough. Cleaning is very easy. The only small disadvantage is that it gets heated up slightly if you are using more than 10 mins but that’s no big issue. Overall excellent product and as always excellent pricing and service from Amazon.

Wife likes the extra speed selection. Just have to remember to use the adaptor supplied to plug into the wall socket as it is fitted with a 2 pin foreign type plug. No real problem but the product works very well
