I had high hopes for the Panasonic Automatic Electric Rice Cooker, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a disappointment. In warranty period, the cooker malfunctioned, leaving me unable to use it properly. Given that it was still under warranty, I reached out to Panasonic’s customer service in Mumbai for repair or replacement. However, to my dismay, I encountered nothing but frustration. Despite numerous attempts and follow-ups, I was unable to get any satisfactory resolution. It’s incredibly disappointing to invest in a product only to have it fail so quickly, and even more so when the warranty service fails to deliver. I cannot recommend this rice cooker based on my experience, and I urge others in Mumbai to consider alternative options with better warranty support.

For a single person, first take a measuring cup or tea cup of rice (or basmati rice or boiled rice). Then, place the bottom plate at the bottom as it was there. Then place the rice on the bottom plate and keep the rice distributed equally. Then, pour 2 cups of water (or 2.5 cups of water if you want soft rice) very gently that it would not lift the rice from the bottom plate. Then add very small quantity (1/4 tea spoon) of butter for taste. Then, put the top cover (metal cover) or put the plastic cooking pan (if you want to boil eggs or boil dal using a steel bowl on top of the pan, you can put unhesitatingly) followed by the metal cover. Then, plug it to a 4.0 or 5.0Amps socket so that it make no electrical fuse to blow up and put the mode to “Cooking/Steaming”. After 15-20minutes it will automatically make the rice ready and automatically switched to “Keep Warm” mode so that even after 1-2hour later you will get hot cooked rice. This cooker is costly because it has very good advantages like rice for 4-5people (1.2kg non-cooked rice max.), auto heating function after cooking & top plastic pan so that you can boil eggs or cook vegetables.
