Do not scrub plate with sharp object….just wash by dishwasher.

Considering that this was a Philips product, a brand trusted by generations of Indians, I went blindly for this refurbished product. On receiving the product, I realized that the hottest setting of the iron was barely enough to iron clothes. It seems that the original heating element might have been replaced by the first owner who would have returned it after doing so. After having used this iron for now more than an year, I can say that the iron continues to work alright albeit at lesser temperature than what should be normal. Once the heating element goes bust, I will replace it with a genuine Philips heating element. Till then, I am tolerating it some how.

I bought it in refurbished condition but it is working yet very well (2 years I hope).
