Pros:
1. You can start the wash and forget about it.
2. Noise level is low.
3. Occupies a smaller place
Cons:
1. They’ll try and sell you some descaling powder during installation. Don’t fall for it.
2. Takes about an hour for a wash unless you’re using the express wash mode.
3. Hard water wash button is misleading and doesn’t do anything. The installation person confirmed the same.
4. You have to stop wash midway to add fabric conditioner. There’s no provison to add it in the beginning, where the machine can use it during rinse cycle.
5. There is no lint trap in this machine. So where does all the lint go? I was told by the installation guy that there has to be periodic service of this machine to remove the lint that gets collected inside the machine. He then informed me that if I’m doing 1 or 2 washes a week, it should be fine for about a year. So now I have to pay someone to come home and remove the lint.
6. When it comes to actual washing, it is not powerful enough to give clothes a good wash even if the load is light. My previous semi automatic machine was so much better in this aspect.
7. All wash programs are the same only differing in wash time. For ex: if the delicate program is 10 mins, then the stain wash program is 20 mins. There is no difference in intensity of wash.
Overall I prefer a semi automatic machine over this one. This machine is too much hassle and all that for just to save a minute you’ll need to change the clothes from the washer to the spinner in a semi automatic.
